In celebration of reaching a million followers on Facebook, a beach-side resort in Dubai is giving its social media fans a chance to stay in one of its brand-new rooms for free starting March 18. But this isn’t your average room with a view.
To commemorate this social media milestone, Atlantis The Palm has unveiled what it’s calling “The Atlantis Fan Suite.” This first-of-its-kind hotel suite embeds Facebook capabilities into almost every facet of the room.
Guests that check in will also be required to log into their Facebook account at the door, which will essentially fill their room with physical manifestations of their News Feed. Facebook credentials also serve as a way to unlock the room, instead of the usual keycard.
For those who love to broadcast every moment of their Dubai getaway, the suite includes a “Facebook Live Lounge.” Here guests can put their phones or other devices on a stand, recline on the thumbs-up shaped chairs and check in with their friends and family.
The mirror in the bathroom doubles as a touchscreen that projects visitors’ feed allowing them to browse through content while preparing for the day.
Those lucky enough to win a stay in this social-media centric room will even have access a personal butler that they can contact by using Facebook Messenger.
