Dany’s House of the Undying Vision Predicted 'Game of Thrones' S7

HBO

No one should have been surprised by Daenerys Targaryen’s decisions, least of all Dany herself, in the latest episode of Game of Thrones. A fan post on Reddit pointed out on Monday that Dany’s vision in the House of the Undying during Season 2 predicted her moves in Season 7.

Reddit user Readdator points out in the post how “in her vision, Daenerys turns from the throne just as it’s within her reach when she hears her children’s cries and ends up abruptly going beyond the wall. This is exactly what is happening now— just as the throne is within her reach, she turns from it, offering Cersei armistice and supporting Jon’s quest north for the ultimate good of humanity.”

The top comment on the post from user Raddish3030 added: “Yep. Instead of ash, it’s snow. Her vision saw snow on the throne and instead of sitting on the throne with Snow, she instead reunites with her dead family beyond the wall.”

You’ll recall that back in Season 2, Daenerys had a trippy vision while searching for her dragons in the House of the Undying. In the vision, she entered the Great Hall of the Red Keep in King’s Landing. Many fans assumed the white powder covering the charred room was ash — but maybe it was snow.

In the latest episode of GoT, Dany turned away from the throne and, kind of, her family’s legacy of firing first and thinking things out second (despite her fiery wrath in the previous episode). If her vision in the House of the Undying really does come to pass, then Jon and the North will take precedence over the Iron Throne in the South; and Dany’s children will always come first, no matter if that means not taking her “rightful” place as the Westerosi queen.

Game of Thrones Season 7 continues on Sunday nights at 9 p.m. Eastern on HBO.
