Summer 2017 is winding down, bringing a rocky summer blockbuster season to a close. Highs like Wonder Woman exceeded expectations — both in terms of box office and audience reception. Lows like The Dark Tower and Valerian and the City of A Thousand Planets fell short of expectations, landing with a thud.
