Supergirl might not be fully integrating into the Arrowverse, but she’s definitely stopping by for the massive four-series DC crossover. It looks like most characters will like her, but one might like-like her.
Supergirl executive producer Andrew Kreisberg has hinted at how Kara’s welcoming party is going to go. While Barry Allen’s already going to be cool with Supergirl, given their previous crossover, some of the other characters will have a mixed reception. After all, some of them have never met an alien before. In one case, though, it might be true love.
“Some people are instantly charmed by her. I think Sara’s [White Canary] got a little crush on her,” Kreisberg said.
Sara Lance, aka White Canary, is openly bisexual and is getting a female love interest this season. There has been talk as to whether Kara will come out as gay or bisexual, after Kreisberg announced in August that a character in one of the four major DC shows would come out this season. However, if it’s a character on Supergirl, more signs point to Kara’s sister, Alex.
Kreisberg added that the only one who’ll be openly suspicious of Supergirl will be Arrow himself. Given his history with otherworldly phenomena, like the Lazarus Pit and Mirakuru soldiers, it looks like he’s about had it with things he’s willing to take in stride. However, given the fact that the Dominators, a race of aliens, are the crossover’s villains, that’s something he’s going to have to get over fast.
The Arrow-Flash-Supergirl-Legends of Tomorrow crossover event is set to start in November.
