Zack Snyder Just Leaked a Ton of 'Justice League' Footage

DC Entertainment

The gang’s all here! To celebrate the last day of filming Justice League in the UK, director Zack Snyder posted a sizzle reel of behind-the-scenes clips of Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and the less-often seen Flash and Cyborg doing their stunts and making each other laugh. The footage is so much fun, and Gal Gadot in particular seems to be enjoying her time on set. Could this mean that Justice League will indeed be as fun as San Diego Comic-Con’s footage suggested?

A few things are obvious after watching the sizzle reel approximately one hundred times. First, Ben Affleck isn’t usually involved with cast shenanigans — the comedic bits and pranks seem to occur most often between Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, and Jason Momoa. Batfleck doesn’t have time for games (but he does have time to jump off of tall green-screen platforms and look surly at every possible opportunity, as Batman should).

Although most of the goofiness occurs between the actors when they dip out of character, it’s still exciting to imagine how Flash’s comedic-relief role will play out when he’s tossed into the big leagues. Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, who looks like an all-around badass in every shot, will probably work as an effective foil to Flash. He’s a pretty serious guy, except in clips where he completely muffs up his stunt work and steals his costars’ weapons instead.

Aquaman fucks up a maneuver with his trident and steals Wonder Woman's sword instead.

The footage is conspicuously missing any mention or sighting of Superman, who, in the Snyderverse is still technically dead. Although every fan knows quite well that Henry Cavill’s dour Superman will return for Justice League, it’s still not clear whether he’ll reappear in darker threads inspired by the Death of Superman comics. Although Supes isn’t in any group shots, it’s still quite a thrill to see the rest of the Justice League walking around creepy buildings together, led by Batman. In the quick shot of the gang in an elevator, we actually get to see Cyborg’s red eye!

Is this the right floor? Flash seems to think so.

As for new questions, there are several shots of badass stuntwomen and/or actresses pulling off impressive feats. For instance, it’s not clear whether the women catching a falling structure are playing Amazonians who know Wonder Woman, or if they’re demonstrating stunts for the actors.

Stuntwomen, with bonus crawling Jason Momoa.
