Fans are so excited about the new characters in Star Wars: The Force Awakens that some are naming babies after them. According to Babycenter.com, the first few months have seen a drastic increase in the popularity of names in last December’s long-awaited sequel. In 2016, new parents are using Rey and Kylo more frequently than in years past.

The first name of the film’s big bad, Kylo, has jumped from jump from 3,774th most popular in 2015 to 1,165th in 2016. Burgeoning Jedi Rey, on the other hand, has been honored so frequently that her popularity has risen from 14,172 in 2015 to 2,784 this year. There are fans out there who are even naming their kid Jedi — though that number hasn’t leaped that far (about 600 ranks to 3,774), indicating people have been saddling their kids with that moniker for some time.

Both Rey and Kylo have a lot of ground to make up to reach Finn, who ranked #118 in 2015. Then again, you’d be hard-pressed to claim the name’s popularity is solely about Star Wars.

This is not the first time that a popular show or film has inspired new parents to get creative. In the past few years, people all over the globe have been celebrating Game of Thrones by naming their kids Daenerys, Khaleesi, Arya (that one’s really popular), and — of all things — Theon.
