Madeleine Koestner

Madeleine Koestner is a film programmer and writer based in NYC. Her focus is horror film, with her previous credits including former managing editor of Diabolique Magazine and bylines in Fangoria, Rue Morgue, Famous Monsters of Filmland, and other genre outlets. She is currently the managing editor of the Footage Fiends zine.

In addition to her writing, she is the festival director of the Unnamed Footage Festival, a San Francisco-based found-footage horror and “in-world camera” focused film fest. She is also one of the founders of the Astoria Horror Club, a bi-monthly screening series in Queens, NY. Madeleine is also a special effects hobbyist and has created gore effects and dead animal props for several low-budget films.
