Russia initiated its bombing campaign against Islamic State militants today, and has been posting video of several airstrikes to YouTube.

The video, uploaded today by Russia’s Ministry of Defense, is fast approaching 10,000 views as of this writing. It shows mostly unoccupied expanses of grass that are throttled by the Russian airstrikes.

Although the strikes are presumptively part of Vlamidir Putin’s call for the formation of an international coalition to fight ISIS in Syria, Russia’s bombing campaign is reported to have hit parts of the country occupied by different, less powerful groups waging war against Bashar al-Asad’s government, according to the The Guardian.
