The 'Jungle Book' Trailer Is 'Planet Earth' Narrated by a Sexy Computer

With a dash of the bare necessities thrown in.

The trailer for Disney’s live-action Jungle Book adaptation has dropped, and it’s a doozy. Resonating with a Christopher Nolan-eqsue thundering score and Planet Earth-style visuals, all disconcertingly narrated by the same voice we watched Joaquin Phoenix have cringeworthy computer sex with in Her, this is a far cry from the bare necessities of your childhood.

Director John Favreau took to Twitter to answer some burning questions about the film and revealed that all those sumptuous visuals are CGI.

Is it an epic improvement or a misfire in the Man of Steel approach, that everything must be gritty?

Time will tell, but with a cast that includes Christopher Walken, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyong’o, Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson, and Ben Kingsley, it seems to be in good hands. It hits theaters on April 15th.
