Kylo Ren is Not Related to Ren from 'Ren and Stimpy'

There are a lot of rumors and speculation going around about what is in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. With this in mind, actress Laura Dern has helpfully added to the list of what won’t be in the film.

In a video released by Entertainment Weekly: The Show on Monday, Dern, who plays Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo in The Last Jedi, dropped a bunch of fake spoilers. “It opens on Rey holding out Luke’s old lightsaber out to him out to him,” she said. “After a long pause, Luke goes, ‘Nah, I’m good’.”

Other crushed hopes and dreams: the famous Star Wars opening crawl won’t get a much-needed update and use emojis, X-Wings aren’t going to be NC-17-Wings, and, unfortunately, Kylo Ren is actually not the cousin of Ren and Stimpy’s Ren. Perhaps most saddening is that we won’t get a Mario Batali-hosted cooking show for Wookies called The Chew-bacca. Honestly, it’s surprising a restaurant by that name doesn’t already exist.

Dern and the rest of the cast of The Last Jedi have had to dodge spoilers left and right since they were announced as part of the film. So it’s nice to see Dern’s able to have some fun with it. In the process, though, she stumbled on The Chew-bacca, a goldmine that should not be ignored.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi premieres on December 15.
