Luc Besson’s sci-fi summer blockbuster Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets won’t be released until July 21, but the buzz around the film has been growing even louder following the release of two new clips and some glowing press reactions.

STX Entertainment released the two clips over the weekend; the first shows Valerian stars Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne arriving on Alpha, the city of a thousand planets, while the second has Delevingne begrudgingly attempting to negotiate with some platypus-esque alien lifeforms.

Based on these clips and the films’ trailers, Valerian is definitely going to be easy on the eyes, with a campy, yet sophisticated sci-fi style that leans towards Besson’s previous work like The Fifth Element.

Although actual reviews of the film are yet to come, an embargo on press reactions lifted this weekend, and Twitter started humming with critics describing the film as truly unique.

And there’s even more Valerian news surfacing this weekend; Collider is reporting that some U.S. audiences catching Spider-Man: Homecoming on its debut weekend will also get a chance to see the opening scene of Valerian ahead of the film.

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets follows space-traveling special agents Valerian and Laureline as they race to discover a dark force that threatens to destroy the sophisticated metropolis of Alpha.
