Burnham Stands Tall as 'Star Trek: Discovery' Heads to SDCC

Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) throwing-down in a spacesuit on top of asteroid looks like it will be a huge deal for Star Trek: Discovery. A gorgeous new ad for the upcoming CBS show trumpets the heroism of Trek’s latest lead, while annoucing the show’s presence at San Diego Comic Con this year.

On Thursday, the Star Trek: Discovery Twitter account shared the striking new piece of artwork accompanied with the exact date and time the show would be repping at San Diego Comic Con. Discovery will not be in Hall H this year, but it will be in Ballroom 20 on Saturday July 22 at 2:30pm.

Last year, when Bryan Fuller was still in charge of Discovery the very first proof-of-concept video debuted at San Diego Comic Con. Ironically, though the first trailer has finally dropped, that original video is still the longest look fans have had at the new titular ship, the USS Discovery.

Hopefully when the cast and crew of Star Trek: Discovery hit San Diego Comic Con, even more new footage is screened. And maybe this time, we’ll get a new look at that ship.
