In the DC television universe, Wonder Woman is President of the United States. Lynda Carter, the star of the campy 1970s Wonder Woman sitcom, will guest-star in the second season of the CW’s Supergirl as the President of the United States. This casting does not mean Lynda Carter will portray POTUS in every superhero show on The CW – although the introduction of Flashpoint to The Flash could rearrange the multiverse.

As it stands, Carter will play POTUS alongside Melissa Benoist as Supergirl, and that casting is shaping up to make Supergirl your mom’s favorite TV show. (That isn’t meant as a dig by the way, but as a compliment). Supergirl is one of the most earnestly positive shows on television, and tossing Lynda Carter into the story’s sparkling, pleasant narrative will only enhance the show’s appeal.

Met a wonderful woman today @reallyndacarter
