'Rick and Morty' Emojis Are Here, Let's Get Schwifty

W-we're in an emoji universe, Rick, what do we do now?

Adult Swim’s new emoji keyboard looks like something Rick himself would produce — you can choose from a selection of expressive Ricks, a plumbus, and an updated eggplant emoji which now features a phallic pattern of veins. There’s also a gif library featuring solely Adult Swim animations, and a soundboard, in case you need to tell a friend that you, Krombopulos Michael style, “just love killin’!”

Send a plumbus to someone who needs one, or tell your loved ones, “wubba lubba dub dub,” which, as Birdperson confirmed in season 2, means, “I am in great pain, please help me.” I don’t know man, whatever you’re dealing with right now, enhance the texture of your humanity by replacing language with Morty emojis, the emotions of which range from a vague sense of anxiety to full blown mind-melting panic.

To test the general consensus regarding Rick and Morty emojis in my social circle, I sent tentative images of plumbi, Mr. Poopy Butthole and Mr. Meeseeks to everyone in my contacts list. They were all very excited and grateful, as you can see below.

My old college roommate.

A man whose daughter I used to babysit.

My mother.

Adult Swim is set to release Rick and Morty Season 3 later this year, and the new season will include more episodes than in previous years. The network released an instructional video for their mobile keyboard, in case you’re eighty seven years old and continually drag the rest of us down with your digital illiteracy.
