Burberry is stepping into the metaverse again, this time with hooves. The luxury label announced the release of its latest NFT, a playable unicorn character named Minny B inspired by the house’s Animal Kingdom code. The mythical creature boasts a spiraled horn and white wings, the latter of which help the character explore Burberry’s digital world by flight.

Minny B is an extension of Burberry’s collaboration with Mythical Games, which introduced Blankos Block Party last year. The project bridges the world of NFTs with gaming, allowing players to stylize their NFT characters with branded accessories and connect with other users. Prior to Minny B, Burberry has introduced Sharky B, a shark-inspired avatar similarly decked out in the brand’s monogram prints.

Exclusive access — To accommodate its growing list of block party characters, Burberry has set up a bespoke social space dubbed “The Oasis.” The virtual experience is inspired by the brand’s physical TB Summer Monogram events held in Saint-Tropez, Korea, Singapore, and Ibiza. Owners of Sharky B and Minny B NFTs are welcome to explore the space and connect with each other.

“The metaverse provides limitless opportunities for us to flex our imagination and connect with our customers,” said Rachel Waller, Burberry’s VP of Channel Innovation, in a press release. “Luxury is an industry built on fantasy and expression, so in many ways, gaming is a canvas perfectly suited to bringing these dreams to life.”

Accordingly, Minny B comes decked out in the brand’s latest TB Summer Monogram print, a mix of orange logos and Burberyy’s iconic check pattern. Within the metaverse, however, users can customize the playable NFT character with accessories like branded boomboxes, TB sliders, and lucky horseshoe necklaces. Players can even give Minny B a seashell-inspired mobile phone, aptly named the “Shellphone.”

Get in on the party — Burberry’s newest NFT is set to drop on June 22 at 12 p.m. ET via the brand’s website. A cost has yet to be announced for each Minny B, but assume the character won’t come cheap thanks to its Burberry ties. But if you miss out — or rather, need to save up — know more characters should be arriving to the brand’s block party soon.
