Spider-Man: No Way Home is due out in theaters at the end of 2021, but details for the movie are still mostly under wraps — we still don’t even have a trailer!

Given the strong possibility that No Way Home will explore the Marvel multiverse, rumors abound about which characters and actors from Spider-Man history will make an appearance.

We already know that Alfred Molina and Jaime Foxx will reprise their pre-MCU Spider-Man roles as Doc Ock and Electro, respectively. But who else could join the multiversal cast?

Here are the 6 biggest Marvel characters rumored to appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

6. Charlie Cox as Daredevil

Despite its committed fanbase, Netflix’s Daredevil came to an abrupt end in 2018. Since then, fans have been clamoring for more Daredevil, and rumor has it Matt Murdock will show up in No Way Home to represent Spidey in court.

5. Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio

Any comic book fan knows that villains never really die, so Spider-Man’s antagonist from Far From Home could return in the sequel. He’s rumored to appear as part of the Sinister Six villain supergroup.

4. Tom Hardy as Venom

Venom will get his second standalone movie in 2021, and fans are already hoping for more. In an interview with Variety, Sony Pictures’ president added fuel to the fire, saying there’s a plan for Sony’s Spider-Man spinoffs to connect with the MCU hero.

3. Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy

If No Way Home is pulling characters from alternate timelines, a version of Gwen Stacy who didn’t meet her canonical fate could be on the table. Emma Stone herself has denied rumors that she’s returning, so this one is more of a longshot.

2. Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin

Green Goblin is an essential part of Spider-Man canon. There are signs that he could make his way into the new continuity, stoked by Willem Dafoe cryptically referencing projects from this year that he’s not ready to reveal.

1. Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man

If No Way Home leans hard into dimension-hopping, it could go full Into the Spider-Verse and bring in Spideys from alternate dimensions. Even if they just appear as cameos, seeing the two previous big-screen Spider-Men would be a huge treat for fans.
