Jane Foster has been sidelined — if not totally excluded — in the Thor series so far. Love and Thunder will finally give her a major role as she takes the mantle of God of Thunder for herself.

We know T’Challa isn’t being recast after Chadwick Boseman’s death, but details on Wakanda Forever are otherwise scarce. Shuri was expected to lead the movie, though she’s recently caused controversy with her anti-vaccination stance — sparking rumors of a delay.

It may sound like a joke, but not only is the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special real, James Gunn also says it will introduce “one of the greatest MCU characters of all time.”

4. Moon Knight

The relatively unknown Moon Knight gets his own series on Disney+ this year. Oscar Isaac lends some major star power to the project, which centers on a hero with dissociative identity disorder empowered by an Egyptian god.

Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) stars as Jennifer Walters, who shares her cousin Bruce’s habit of hulking out when she’s angry. The show is expected to focus on She-Hulk’s split life as a lawyer and superhero.

Marvel is keeping most of its upcoming projects under wraps, but none is harder to predict than What If...? Season 2. As the debut season showed, pretty much anything can happen in this canon-smashing series. The new season is expected this year, but not yet confirmed.

Secret Invasion is an adaptation of the comic of the same name about Nick Fury facing down a shapeshifting Skrull invasion of Earth in which everyone is suspect. It doesn’t have a solid release date, but it’s expected this year.
