BMW motorcycles are world-renowned, but there’s more to “BMW Motorrad” than just beefy road bikes. The automaker’s new electric scooter is an absolute beast.
BMW borrowed hardware and engineering from its electric cars. And it works with either Level 1 (household) charging or faster Level 2 charging.
Thanks to the lack of an internal combustion engine, there’s room for a helmet storage compartment under the seat. It’s even accessible while seated.
You might as well be riding something straight out of Tron. Here are some quick stats...
miles per hour (highway capable)
range, in miles (8.9 kWh battery)
minutes to charge from 20 to 80 percent on Level 2 (or 0 to 100 percent in 4:20 with a standard household outlet)
The BMW CE 04 isn’t cheap, but it’s definitely the coolest electric scooter around.
It goes on sale early next year, but you can sign up for updates now.
