Everything you need to know about FFXIV's Valentione's Day 2022 event

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, love is in the air — and so is another seasonal event in Final Fantasy XIV.

Last year, Valentione’s Day (not a typo) offered the adorable Lovely Moogle Cap. It’s not coming back this year, but you can snag one of the best chocobo barding sets yet without grinding Extreme trials.

Like so many FFXIV seasonal events, Valentione’s Day 2022 starts at Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre in Gridania.

There, quest-giver Lisette de Valentione will introduce you to Hydaelyn’s most disaffected postmoogle, Pukty Piko. For this year’s quest, No Love Lost, you’ll help Pukty deliver love letters around Gridania.

Your first stop is at the Carpenter’s Guild, just off the Gridania Aetheryte Plaza. From there, you’ll just have to make stops at the Botanists’ Guild, Whistling Miller, and Apkallu Falls, each of which is marked clearly on your map.

Once you’ve hit them all, simply return to Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre to turn in the quest and pick up your next assignment, Love’s Labors. This quest sends you roaming across Gridania to help an Elezen named Aloyse respond to a marriage proposal.

This year’s quests just require speaking to a few NPCs in town, making Valentione’s Day 2022 one of the simplest FFXIV seasonal events to date.

By completing the quests, you’ll teach Pukty Piko about the importance of love and, more excitingly, score some seasonal loot.

Your prize for completing the quests is the Postmoogle Barding, a fetching blue outfit for your feathered friend, complete with a mail bag.

You’ll also unlock a repeatable quest from Pukty Piko to help write letters for other lovesick Eorzeans. It’s even quicker than the main Valentione’s Day quests and earns you a stack of Heart Prisms.

As each Heart Prism makes half a heart, you’ll need a companion to get the full effect.

Just outside Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre, you can purchase more prisms and the Valentione Mobile from the House Valentione Maid NPC.

The Valentione Mobile is an animated housing decoration that’ll bring some color and cheer to your virtual home.

You have until February 21 to complete the Valentione’s Day 2022 quests, which you can easily complete in under an hour.

Square Enix hasn’t announced the next seasonal event yet, but Valentione’s Day is usually followed by Little Ladies’ Day, based on the Japanese holiday Hinamatsuri, or Girls’ Day. Look out for it in late February or early March.
