Here’s a sneak peek at the new EV ahead of the car’s official unveiling on Thursday — including what details we currently know.
Mercedes is not showing off the entire exterior of the car. Instead, it’s releasing these camouflaged photos that give an idea of the overall shape without spoiling everything.
Three display screens are ensconced in a single curved piece of glass, giving the appearance of a 56-inch wide display.
It wouldn’t look out of place on the bridge of the USS Enterprise.
The EQS has an aerodynamic drag coefficient (how well air flows over its design) of just 0.20, the lowest ever in a mass-produced car.
A Tesla Model 3 clocks in at 0.23 Cd.
A “Power Nap” mode allows drivers to rest when charging during long drives. It moves the driver’s seat to a rest position, closes the blinds, and adjusts the ambient lighting to promote sleep. It also activates the HVAC ionization and fragrance features and puts soothing sounds and a starry sky on the central displays.
