We got our hands on Microsoft’s new Windows 11 laptop before they come out on October 25.

Alongside the Surface Pro 9 and Surface Studio 2+, Microsoft announced the Surface Laptop 5.
It comes in several colors including a sage (green) and sandstone (pink that sometimes looks gold).
The keyboard is unchanged from past Surface Laptops — it’s solid with good travel.
The same goes for the trackpad — it’s spacious and responsive.
The Surface Laptop 5 has a USB-A port, USB-C Thunderbolt 4 port, headphone jack, and a Surface Connect charging port (on the right side).
You can get the Surface Laptop 5 in 13.5- or 15-inch display models. Both have touchscreens.
The most important changes are all inside with newer 12th Gen Intel CPUs.
The 13.5-inch Surface Laptop 5 starts at $999.99 and the 15-inch at 1,399.99. Both launch on October 25.
