Capcom

As part of Summer Game Fest 2022, Capcom revealed Guile for Street Fighter 6, the next installment of the Street Fighter series.

Capcom

Understandably, fans are hyped for the return of this buff military man and his new look.

Capcom

William J. Guile, often just known as Guile, has been a recurring Street Fighter character since his start as one of the eight original competitors from Street Fighter 2.

Capcom

He’s a Major in the United States Air Force on a mission to take down the criminal organization, Shadaloo.

Capcom

He’s usually investigating Shadaloo in some shape or form throughout the Street Fighter series, so I’d assume he’s on a similar case in Street Fighter 6.

Capcom

Guile’s Street Fighter 6 character trailer shows off his powerful kicks and hurricane attacks in the series’ new urban style.

Capcom

Look at the man teaching Luke a lesson. He’s also seen going hand-to-hand with Street Fighter poster boy, Ryu.

Capcom

Capcom really nailed the ‘90s goon vibe in Guile’s trailer. Just watch how he whips his comb out.

“I’m just on another level.”

Capcom

Guile stands as one of Street Fighter’s most popular zoners. His signature Sonic Boom works similar to Ryu and Ken’s Hadouken fireball.

Capcom

Of course, the Flash Kick is there too. FGC members also noticed his new double sweep.

Capcom

Fans also seem to really enjoy Guile’s facial hair, which is a first in the series. I guess Ryu isn’t the only one growing out his beard.

Capcom

He also has eyebrows now.

Capcom

Guile was a DLC character in Street Fighter 5, but it looks like you can get him with just the cost of the base game this time around.

Capcom

He joins newcomers Luke and Jamal, and series veterans Ryu and Chun-Li on the Street Fighter 6 roster.

Capcom

We’ll have to see who Capcom has in mind next after this Chaddy.
