5 most powerful Ghost of Tsushima armor sets

Ghost of Tsushima gives players 11 different sets of armor to choose from, each with their own perks and enhancements. Spoilers ahead. Read at your own discretion.

Choosing which one to equip on protagonist Jin Sakai is completely situational, but there are a handful of armor sets that are a cut above the rest.

5. Tadayori’s Armor

You’ll find these archer's threads by completing The Legend of Tadayori Mythic Tale, which can be picked up in the Azamo region of Izuhara. You’ll stumble upon a musician in a location called the Rustling Bend that will give you the quest.

4. Sakai Clan Armor

Jin’s family armor is considered to be some of the most balanced gear in the game and the best is you’ll get it as part of Ghost of Tsushima’s main quest line. Once you complete the Ghosts from the Past mission at the start of Act 2, it’s all yours.

3. Ghost Armor

If you prefer striking from the shadows then you’ll want to throw on the Ghost Armor. This set is unlocked by beginning the From the Darkness main story mission at the end of Act 2.

2. Gosaku’s Armor

If you’re one to run headlong into a horde of mongols, then Gosaku’s Armor is right for you. The set is rewarded after completing the Unbreakable Gosaku Mythic Tale, which you’ll get at the start of Act 2 in Akashima Village.

1. Kensei Armor

If you’re a scrappy fighter who likes to use Ghost weapons, then opt for the Kensei Armor set. The only way to get it is by completing The Six Blades of Kojiro Mythic Tale, which can be picked up during Act 2 in Umugi Cove after you complete the A Message in Fire quest.
