How do Evangelo, Holly, Mom, Walker, Hoffman, Doc, Jim, and Karlee fare?
Back 4 Blood features eight “Cleaners,” and each of them has unique special abilities that can give you an edge in battle depending on your optimal playstyle.
Here’s a look at all 8 Back 4 Blood Cleaners ranked from worst to best.
She recovers stamina with every kill, has more damage resistance, increases the team’s stamina, and starts with the secondary weapon Spiked Bat.
Holly is a great choice for players who want to go all-in on melee and stamina, but not much else. On higher difficulties, that approach is riskier and less effective.
His Precision kills deal increased damage. He also aims down sights faster than any other character, increases the team’s weak spot damage, and starts with the secondary weapon .357 Magnum.
Jim is a solid offensive choice if you’re using long-range weapons or excel with precision weapons. Still, there are better offensive options for those that want to fight the zombies head-on.
She can heal low-health teammates without items, heal others faster, increase the team’s trauma resistance, and starts with the secondary weapon Beretta M9.
If you want to play as a healer, Doc is obviously the best character to pick. Her importance dwindles when certain items and cards are in play, however.
He deals increased damage, gains more accuracy with precision kills, increases the team’s health, and starts with secondary weapon Glock 23.
Walker is another Cleaner that gives solid offensive buffs but doesn’t have as many unique skills as other characters.
She can sense hazards, has an additional quick inventory slot, increases team use speed, and starts with the secondary weapon Tec 9.
She won’t turn the tide of a battle, but Karlee offers some helpful support abilities that would make her a solid pick for any team. She’s a middle-of-the-road pick.
Mom can instantly revive a fallen teammate, has an extra support inventory slot, gives the team an extra life, and starts with the secondary shotgun The Belgian.
Mom’s revival-focused skillset can give your team the edge it needs to last just a little bit longer. In Back 4 Blood, that can make or break a run.
He can break out of grabs, has increased stamina regeneration, increases the team’s movement speed, and starts with the Machete as his secondary weapon.
Evangelo’s ability to break out of grabs makes him a top-tier character in higher difficulties where that’s more common. He’s also a solid choice for players with melee-focused builds.
He can spawn ammo with kills, has an extra offensive item slot, increases the team’s ammo capacity, and starts with the secondary weapon M1911.
If you want to play an aggressive offense, Hoffman is the best choice. And the ammo-related buffs are vital in any team composition.
Back 4 Blood will be fully released for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X on October 12, 2021.
