Zero Motorcycles, a popular maker of high-end electric motorcycles, unveiled its 2022 FXE this week.
The new bike is said to take cues from consumer electronics design which, according to Zero, means emphasizing rider ergonomics as much as the style of the body itself. The design was done in collaboration with San Francisco-based firm Huge Design.
“Being the brand that defined the category means that Zero has an obligation to continue driving innovation in electric powersports forward. The FXE delivers on the design, technology and ride experience characteristics one expects from the motorcycle of the future.”
Sam Paschel, CEO of Zero Motorcycles
In terms of specs, the FXE packs a Z-FORCE 75-5 motor and produces 46 horsepower with 78 ft-lb of torque. With a 7.2 kWh battery, Zero says the FXE is capable of doing 100 miles on a charge in the city.
Using a mobile app, riders can adjust the top speed and other performance characteristics to match their needs.
Pre-orders begin today with shipments starting later in July. If you want a Zero FXE, you can put down a $500 deposit today in order to reserve one over here.
