When New Balance revealed its latest collaboration with Montreal-based design studio JJJJound, we immediately knew it was going to be a hit. Together, they came up with a 990v3 “Made in USA” sneaker that’s stunning, thanks to its green olive and vintage motifs.
JJJJound’s “Olive” 990v3 features New Balance’s ENCAP midsole, which uses a soft EVA material with plenty of support to create a cushiony feel that’s going to be extremely kind to your feet. Seriously, if you’ve never tried NB’s 990x series of shoes, you need to change that now.
And of course, if you’re feeling patriotic, NB makes sure you let ‘em know these shoes are (kind of) made here in the U.S. with a massive “new balance USA” logo on the tongue.
For those of you who missed out on these beauties when they dropped for $250, you can still get a pair from resale apps like GOAT — just be prepared to pay as much as $500, depending on your size.
And if you rather not spend that much, the good news is New Balance has other great sneakers coming soon.
