The recently showcased EMF scooter is the product of Yamaha’s collaboration with Taiwanese battery maker, Gogoro, and in addition to its sleek, futuristic design, offers riders swappable battery tech that maximizes range and helps guarantee you’ll never run out of juice.
Unfortunately for anyone stateside or in Europe, the EMF will start as a release in Taiwan, where Gogoro, and its network of battery swapping stations, is based. That doesn’t mean you can’t hold onto hope, however. While electric mobility isn’t quite as pervasive as it is in Taiwan, U.S. demand continues to grow, so the EMF might make it to a city street near you after all.
