A new leak has revealed several of Garmin's upcoming watches, including the Fenix 7, Epix Gen 2, and more.

Spilling the beans

Ahead of CES, WinFuture has dropped a bombshell leak, revealing Garmin’s upcoming smartwatch offerings. The leaks mostly consist of images, with just a few morsels of intel available for each watch and no word yet on price or launch date.

Fenix 7

After more than two years since the initial launch of the Fenix 6, Garmin is launching the Fenix 7. According to the leaked images, there will be three models available in different colors, which will be reportedly be made from stainless steel and plastic. The Fenix 7 will reportedly have similar tracking features as the Fenix 6.

One big piece of info, according to the leak, is that some of the Fenix 7 models will come with a built-in solar panel for charging when on the move. For hardcore outdoor adventurers and fitness enthusiasts, this feature will likely make the high price a bit more digestible.

Epix Gen 2

Garmin is bringing back the Epix in a big way. The watch, which was the first in Garmin’s lineup to display maps, is no longer square (smartwatches really should be round), with Garmin opting for a modern round design made from glass fiber reinforced polycarbonate and 316 stainless steel, according to the leak.

Aside from standard tracking features, leaks suggest the watch will have an SpO2 sensor and a heart rate sensor. The latter measures oxygen saturation in your blood, which can help diagnose respiratory issues such as those caused by COVID-19.

Instinct 2 and 2s

Another round smartwatch, though this one reportedly has an e-ink display that should help with battery life. Not much about this watch was revealed, but it was reported to have tracking features such as sleep tracking, step counting, GPS, and a heart rate monitor.

Venu 2 Plus

With a reported OLED display, round design, and modern interface, the Venu 2 looks more like a traditional smartwatch from Samsung or Fossil. The streamlined watch has an extra button this time around, and there is no information as to which features it will launch with.

Though the images have left nothing to the imagination in regards to design, there is still a lot we don’t know when it comes to specs and features. With CES coming up in a few short weeks, it shouldn’t be long until we see the full picture.
