'Avengers: Endgame' Tickets Sale Release Could Be Soon After Runtime Reveal
But is this even an official confirmation?
The final, seemingly official runtime for Avengers: Endgame is here, and it’s a positive indication that tickets should go on sale very soon — especially considering where this information came form.
Early Monday, the AMC Theaters landing page for Avengers: Endgame seemingly leaked a runtime of 3 hours, 2 minutes. That has since been removed, but not before ComicBook.com noticed and MCU Exchange grabbed a screenshot, eventually prompting Fandango to tweet the article offering what might be considered official confirmation.

We’ve no reason to doubt this news because back in February, the Russo bros. teased that Endgame has “three hours worth of [emotional] real estate,” doubling down on comments from November 2018 also indicating 3 hours. For the film to clock in just two minutes past that makes a lot of sense. But again, we haven’t quite gotten any official confirmation. Either way, we’re inching closer and closer to the inevitable ticket sales date.
Every week, rumors circulate about ticket sales. At one point, people on Reddit claimed Friday, March 22. Then, another person claimed with “100 percent certainty” that it was Monday, March 25. These days have come and gone — and still no tickets.
It’s starting to seem increasingly likely that the runtime circulating this week is building up to an official ticket release next week, specifically the previously rumored April 2 date. That will be just barely more than three weeks before release, and it would seem totally outlandish to delay ticket release any longer than that.
If Avengers: Endgame truly is 3 hours and 2 minutes, that’s 182 minutes total. That will make it the longest Marvel film by far and 22 minutes longer than Avengers: Infinity War. That would also be 3 minutes longer than Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, but 12 minutes shorter than Titanic. That’s definitely a very long film, but it doesn’t seem like there’ll be any kind of intermission. The last film to have one was probably Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eights, and even then, it was only the roadhouse version that screened in very limited capacity.
Everyone should get ready for this three-hour bladder-buster by abstaining from beverages leading up to screenings.
Avengers: Endgame will be released in theaters on April 26, 2019.
