'Fortnite' Skins: New Durrr Burger Outfit Makes Players Hungry, Not Thirsty

He's a true hero.

Every now and then, Epic Games releases a new skin for Fortnite: Battle Royale that is a big hit with fans. The newest outfit based on a well-known restaurant in the game is out, and it’s making players hungry for justice and a burger.

Epic announced Thursday that the new “Beef Boss” skin is now available in the Fortnite: Battle Royale Item Shop. Originally discovered by data miners after the v5.20 update, the new outfit pays homage to the Durrr Burger sign that used to be in the game, but actually made its way to a California desert. It appears Epic is also excited about the skin that it even made a cinematic for it.

Like the Tomato Head skin is based on the Uncle Pete’s Pizza Pit mascot, Beef Boss takes after the Durrr Burger restaurant found on the island. Also like the previously mentioned mascot, both signs disappeared in the events leading to the end of Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 4. Rifts appeared on the island after a rocket launch event at the end of June, both giant advertisements disappeared.

Unlike the giant Tomato Head, the Durrr Burger mascot reappeared weeks later, but in a California desert as part of an alternate reality game (ARG) put on by Epic. Workers were at the location of the sign, advising visitors to call a number to hear strange noises that changed periodically. The location closed down once Season 5 started, and there is no clear answer of whether there was a goal for the ARG or was it just a promotional event for the new season.

The Beef Boss outfit is 1,500 V-Bucks, or $15, at the Fortnite: Battle Royale Item Shop. To complete the set with the Flying Saucer glider will cost another 1,200 V-Bucks, or $12.

On Wednesday, data miners might know the fate of the giant Tomato Head that disappeared as new files show its return, but not at its home in Tomato Town.
