'SNL' Pulls Zero Punches in Final Debate Sketch

"A sweet little baby Trump".

While the third and final presidential debate Wednesday seemed a bit anticlimactic, it still managed to make good fodder for a cold opening on the most recent episode of Saturday Night Live. As guest star Tom Hank’s Chris Wallace summarized: “It’s going to be like the third Lord of the Rings movie. You don’t really want to watch but hey, you came this far.”

Alec Baldwin’s Trump made a short-lived effort to present a mild manner, informing Wallace that, “Chris I’m going to start this debate in the quietest voice possible. In the past I have been big and loud but tonight I am a sweet little baby Trump.” Kate McKinnon’s Hillary Clinton came out with zinger after zinger, barely managing to take Trump seriously, picking her teeth when he starts rambling about ISIS and his meeting with “Señor Guacamole,” president of Mexico. When Trump busts out his immediately viral comment that immigrants are “bad hombres,” Clinton cheerfully celebrates finally making “Trump Bingo,” a card laden with phrases like “Miss Piggy” and “If she wasn’t my daughter.”

Baldwin’s Trump ranting about a “rigged election” was almost too close to reality to be funny, but the fact that he insists “I am winning in every single poll taken outside of a Cracker Barrel,” proves just how absurd this election has gotten.
