The Force is strong with the women of America. Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill, offered words of support for all the Princess Leia Organa cosplayers that showed up for the Women’s March.

On Sunday, amidst the weekend’s many Women’s Marches held around the United States, Mark Hamill took to Twitter to share some of his favorite pictures from the March, full of women dressed up as Princess Leia or bearing punny signage with her face on it.

“Carrie would be SO proud! Resist. Register. VOTE!” the actor’s tweet read, along with the fist emoji and #WomensMarch2018 and #MyReSIStanceSISters.

In one such video, a woman has a poster with the iconic black-and-white photo of Carrie Fisher as Leia with text that reads “we are the resistance.” Another poster featuring Leia, drawn in marker, has text that says, “A woman’s place is in the resistance.” Another woman’s sign says the same phrase, and she’s cosplaying as Princess Leia in her iconic white dress. Another Leia cosplayer’s sign read “dont Leia hand on my health care.”

Here’s Hamill’s celebratory tweet:

The actress Carrie Fisher, who had portrayed Leia Organa since the first Star Wars movie from 1977, offered her final performance with the character in the recently released The Last Jedi. Fisher passed away in December 2016, but her character’s enduring legacy has long served as a symbol for what women can accomplish.

Perhaps because The Last Jedi is still fresh in everyone’s minds — having only released in theaters last month — the Star Wars universe had a big showing at the 2018 Women’s March across the country.

The annual Women’s March began last year after President Donald Trump’s inauguration partially as a protest to his presidency, but if 2018’s showing has been any indication, then the Women’s March has evolved into a yearly event that will long outlive Donal Trump’s presidency.

It’s only Tuesday, but the latest batch of Fortnite: Battle Royale challenges have already leaked. We actually covered the initial news (and the mystery behind it) last week, but with Season 6 challenges quickly approaching here’s a quick guide on what you can do to prepare for the update (presumably version 5.3).

Nintendo just revealed a ton of new info about Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but the company’s next announcement could focus on another game entirely. A new leak suggests there might be a Pokémon-themed Nintendo Direct in the near future, and it might just reveal new details about that long-promised “core RPG Pokémon title on Nintendo Switch.”

When the creator of The Simpsons and Futurama does a fantasy series for Netflix, it inevitably feels a lot like Homer Simpson going to Westeros. But rather than being anything like the legitimate Game of Thrones spoof that happened with the The Simpsons Season 29 premiere, Matt Groening’s Disenchantment sometimes feels like a drunken smattering of fantasy themes and tropes, as if Homer was recapping Game of Thrones but kept getting it confused with other fantasy stories because he had one too many Duff beers.

July was a big month for Pokémon GO. Developer Niantic held the second-anniversary event for the game, and unlike the first-year party, this event went on with hardly any problems. But it’s back to business in August for Pokémon GO trainers with a new Community Day featuring a Pokémon everyone playing the game is familiar with.

Every now and then, Epic Games releases a new skin for Fortnite: Battle Royale that is a big hit with fans. The newest outfit based on a well-known restaurant in the game is out, and it’s making players hungry for justice and a burger.

Epic announced Thursday that the new “Beef Boss” skin is now available in the Fortnite: Battle Royale Item Shop. Originally discovered by data miners after the v5.20 update, the new outfit pays homage to the Durrr Burger sign that used to be in the game, but actually made its way to a California desert. It appears Epic is also excited about the skin that it even made a cinematic for it.
